Running….out…of…….gas.
Posted by tom cottar under theology
I'm at home sick today. I've had this feeling before many times, and I know it's coming, so I'm trying to nip it before it gets me farther down. So, here I am. Drinking my green tea/honey/echinacea/tabasco concoction (with a Lo-Han-Quo chaser), watching Val Kilmer's interpretation of The Saint, and listening to a little Zakk Wylde in the background. I'm also trying to finish up some thoughts on Len Sweet's 'Gospel According to Starbucks'…but those will have to wait until I have more energy. (Plus, I have band practice tonite…supposedly.)
So, this morning I've been checking out some blogs I lurk at and thought I'd pass on some pretty interesting things I've found.
Shaeman's got a some good thoughts about gay sheep. Seriously. Check out the Brokeback Mutton post.
Marko exposes Jesus' rough drafts here.
Joe Thorn has a great quote on humility.
tg2 may be in town this weekend…Burger Tex ribeye sandwiches all around!
And pray for Jimmie…he's worse off than me.
Oh, and in case you're wondering about my drug of choice, here's the recipe:
6 oz of green or jasmine tea
1 tbsp of honey
1 tsp of tobasco
1 oz of liquid echinacea extract
Drink it HOT and chase it with four ounces of HOT Lo-Han-Quo. Drink 3-4 times a day. I'll let you know how it turns out…
UPDATE: The tea/echinacea/lo-han-quo worked! But only when I added the hydrocodone chaser from my doc….
