Missional Gas Prices?

If you’ve followed me on Twitter lately, you know I’m just about sick of hospitals. As things are getting back to normal, I’m finally able to get back to some reading and blogging.
To start things off, check out this blog on Why I Don’t Do Gas Buy-Downs. How does this shape what we do [...]

The Story of Stuff

At this year’s SXSW in Austin, the 20-minute animated film The Story of Stuff earned itself an award. It’s actually a GREAT little film…and pretty educational, as well. A Padded Bra for Your 7-Year-Old?

 Seriously?
Supermarket giant from across the pond, TESCO, is evidently retailing a padded bra for girls in the 7 to 8 year old range. Last Thursday morning, her husband, Larry, was involved in an accident at work and suffered fatal head wounds. After he was Care Flighted to the ER and rushed into emergency neurosurgery all we [...]

Quotable Monday: 04.07.2008

"I have noticed even people who claim everything is predestined, and that we can do nothing to change it, look before they cross the street. "

–Steven Hawking, wicked smart research pysicist (primarily in theoretical cosmolgy and quantum gravity)

Funny on a couple of levels. First, the older I get (I am 41 today), the less [...]

In Oprah, We Trust (Don’t Drink the Kool-Aid)

I’ve tried to sit in her online classroom a couple of times, but can’t get in. It’s way too packed and our connection speed is way too slow… Maybe someone who’s gotten in can share some experience here. I don’t know anyone who didn’t see this coming, but nevertheless, here’s the video.
