Show Me the Money?
Posted by tom cottar under theology
Believe it or not, I strive for, even pride myself on, efficiency. You might not be able to tell it from my office or my ADHD approach to my GTD list. Nevertheless, it’s there. Trust me.
So when this alleged by-the-people-for-the-people government started promoting the free bones they were gonna throw me, I got online and researched exactly when mine should be electronically deposited. Let’s face it: I’m ready to stimulate whatever economy is closest.
According to my SSN, I should have electronically received mine by Friday, May 16. But on Saturday, May 17th I got an email from Turbo Tax saying:
"The IRS letter [you received regarding your Stimulus Check] may have inadvertently left off some important information. Taxpayers who chose to have their tax preparation fees deducted from their federal tax refund will receive their tax rebate in the mail, not via direct deposit.
Our records show that you chose this payment option in TurboTax. As a result, the IRS has determined that you will receive your tax rebate in the mail. This may result in you receiving your rebate on a date later than expected. "
So, now, it looks like my new ETA is set for sometime around JULY 11.
Boo.
