Today the pundits are busy analyzing and dissecting the election results. They are drawing statistical comparisons between candidates, exit poll results, former presidents and other famous (and infamous) historical figures. To some it’s like an early Christmas for the free world. To others, it’s the beginning of an Obamanation leading to the Apocolypse.
Me? I put together a playlist to reflect the day. Take it any way you like, regardless who you may have voted for. Either way, it’s nice to reflect and put things in perspective at such an historical time in our history. Hopefully this will help get you through and get you going, whether you’re celebrating or mourning:
For McCain-Pailn supporters (and most Republicans/Conservatives in general):
"It’s the End of the World As We Know It", by R.E.M.
"Smooth Criminal", Michael Jackson
"I’m Gonna Miss Her", Brad Paisley
For the Obama-Biden crowd (and most Dems/Liberals I know):
"Movin’ On Up" (From the Television Series The Jeffersons), Ja’Net DuBois
When I’m President", Extreme
"War", Edwin Starr
"Next Year", Foo Fighters
For anyone and everyone:
"Everybody Wants to Rule the World (Tears for Fears)
"Back In the USSR", Paul McCartney (although the Dead Kennedys version is my favorite)
"Never Tear Us Apart", INXS
"Nothing Else Matters", Metallica
"Remedy", David Crowder Band
What would you add?
