When you need to get work done, where do you go? I mean, when you REALLY have to get something done. The office or the kitchen? The conference room or the coffee shop? The library or the porch?
Granted, it may depend on what you're trying to accomplish. But if you're looking to churn out great work (or at least, good work), which is what you're being paid to do, then you need to take 15 minutes and watch Jason Fried's TED talk.
Here's a hint: the interruptions and distractions we stumble over are not Twitter and Facebook and YouTube. Our distractions are…well, just watch.
